The influencer had previously promoted a claimed crypto pump-and-dump project on her Instagram profile. She did not disclose to her followers that she raised $250,000 for the partnership.

For the billionaire, the fine is probably not a big deal. "Ms. Kardashian is glad the case is resolved," said her attorney. In the summer of 2021, alongside Kim Kardashian, boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and basketball player Paul Pierce promoted the pump-and-dump project EthereumMax. There is currently a separate class-action lawsuit against the celebrities.
