The French hardware wallet giant Ledger today launched the Ledger Flex™ Solana Edition – a premium self-custody device that brings together functionality and design from the Solana ecosystem. The device is equipped with a responsive and secure E-Ink touchscreen, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, and an elegant chassis in Solana's iconic purple-green colorway.
According to a press release, this edition isn’t just about security, but also about community and ease of use: “The Ledger Flex Solana Edition is defined by a unique design, of course in Solana’s signature colors.”
A notable addition is the exclusive Soulbound Token (SBT) included with purchase. This token grants access to perks with partner companies and opens the door to a range of Web3 rewards.
Ian Rogers, Chief Experience Officer at Ledger, emphasizes the importance of the collaboration: “As Solana continues to push a wide range of applications, usability, security, and true ownership are essential.” With this release, Ledger is leaning into those values.
The Ledger Flex is fully compatible with the Solana ecosystem and lets users securely manage their SOL tokens, SPL-tokens, and NFTs. It also integrates seamlessly with Ledger Live, the company’s app for trading and storing crypto assets.
Ledger, which has sold more than 7.5 million devices in 180 countries, says it secures more than 20% of all crypto assets worldwide. The Solana Edition is available today as part of the Solana Accelerate program.
Early adopters get priority: Solana Saga holders, Solana Seeker Genesis Token, Solana Mobile Token pre-orders, and Superteam members with an SBT will get early access. Their bundle also includes a stylish black magnetic folio accessory and a $70 SOL bonus.
In short: Ledger is taking the Solana collaboration seriously — and is making a bold statement about the future of self-custody in style.
