Litentry teams up with NodeReal

The multi-chain identity protocol Litentry teams up with the blockchain infrastructure provider NodeReal to empower Web3 users and decentralized application (dApp) developers to get the most out of Web3 without compromising users' privacy.
Litentry is building a privacy-enabled Web3 identity solution across major blockchains—a decentralized identity system (DID). The collaboration enables Litentry to integrate NodeReal's MegaNode, delivering massive real-time and historical data indexing on Ethereum and BNB Chain networks. The robust solution improves the reliability of the DID system.
NodeReal highlighted its collaboration with Litentry in a July 21 tweet.
NodeReal's MegaNode is known as a leader in delivering fast, scalable, and stable node services. Fei Liu, Litentry’s Chief Technical Officer (CTO), praised MegaNode for its ability to reach high indexing speeds. Ben Mason, one of Litentry’s lead developers, gave BSC News more hints on why NodeReal was chosen to power the DID data indexing service:
"We needed Ethereum and BSC archive nodes with enough throughput to return accurate data to index the entire chains within a few days. NodeReal gave us that. To help us achieve this, they adjusted how we fetch transaction receipts, enabling millions of requests instead of billions, which greatly improved performance." said Ben Mason.
DID data: countless applications for Web3 users
DID data has countless applications for Web3 users. Credit scoring for DeFi loans, virtual passes, decentralized identity verification, blockchain-activity measurements are just a few of the many use cases that urgently need a solution. To protect user privacy, Litentry does not collect or store DID data in a centralized system. Instead, the data is derived only from decentralized sources. Users fully own their DIDs, without exposing anonymity, and decide how much a service can access their data.
For the rise of Web3 and decentralized systems, third parties trusted with online data management were the only option. That trust is often broken, as shown by the steady stream of headlines about data breaches at large companies. The Litentry–NodeReal collaboration enables users to control their data while preserving the privacy capabilities of Web3 technologies.
