Litigation Financing DAO unveils LFD token: community-based litigation funding

The Litigation Financing DAO makes community-based funding of lawsuits possible through blockchain technology. Token holders gain access to the LFD ecosystem, which offers a variety of use cases. Interested parties can participate in the movement today via the token offering.

Litigation Financing DAO GmbH ("LFD") was founded in 2019 and is a Liechtenstein-based litigation fund. It finances court and out-of-court procedures across the German-speaking region (Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria, Germany), especially when legal protection insurance isn't available or is denied.

Drawing on years of experience, Litigation Financing DAO specializes in litigation funding for cases protecting investors (e.g., life insurance, funds, foreign-currency loans, etc.) and cases based on data protection breaches. Additionally, LFD finances select individual cases, such as liability insurance cases in serious traffic accidents or following major fires.

Over the years, LFD has financed lawsuits against wallet maker Ledger, various defense insurers, ShareWood Switzerland AG, several data protection officers, and many other proceedings. With the help of the LFD token, they aim to realize 'rights' for everyone. Neither social status nor the financial background of the individual should play a role.

Values and vision of the Litigation Financing DAO

Setting up legitimate legal actions carries significant risks and costs and often takes years. The LFD guides entrepreneurs and individuals through this difficult period and finances not only the legal dispute but also takes the opposing party's costs onto itself if the case is lost, which otherwise would be paid by the parties themselves.

Diversity, equality, sustainability, and respectful, unbiased treatment of people are top priorities for the Litigation Financing DAO. The decentralized organization of LFD always operates according to the four core principles below:

  • Innovation - Leveraging crowdsourced knowledge from the community.
  • Technology - The plan to finance lawsuits and enable a "web3 legal community" via the blockchain.
  • Track record - We deliver what we promise. We’re committed to the community and always strive for success.
  • Education - Inform first, then prevent, and only litigate as a last resort.

Token Offering is live

In addition, Litigation Financing DAO places the highest value on sustainability and enables LFD tokens to enter and benefit from the LFD ecosystem.

Token holders have the option to:

  • Have their own legal disputes assessed for free by the DAO for litigation financing;
  • A reduction in contingency fees for their own cases in case of a commitment to finance litigation by the Litigation Financing DAO;
  • Submit new potential funding cases to the Litigation Financing DAO under a so-called "Treasure Hunt" and receive a finder’s reward;
  • Participate in surveys about potential funding cases, comment on potential funding cases, contribute input for the funding strategy, and receive a supporting reward;
  • Participate in a future Security Token Offering of the Litigation Financing DAO. Token holders will have the pre-emptive right to buy the Security Tokens.

9,000 LFD tokens will be sold. Given the rights attached to the LFD tokens, the sale price is a reasonable EUR 500.00 per token.

The Litigation Financing DAO plans to list the LFD tokens on an official crypto exchange as soon as possible.

LFD coins can be purchased via https://app.litigation-financing.io/. The purchase price is reduced by 20% if the token is bought before 30.11.2022.
