Media Markt and Saturn to add more Bitcoin ATMs

The Austrian Krant GmbH is going to place more Bitcoin ATMs in MediaMarkt's and Saturn's German stores. The MediaMarktSaturn Group wants to add more Bitcoin ATMs in their German stores. This was announced in a press release by Austrian Krant GmbH. But this isn’t the first move by the European leader in Bitcoin ATMs into the German specialty market. The crypto ATMs are already in Dortmund, Cologne, and Frankfurt. Now more locations are coming to major cities including Munich, Mainz, Dresden, Hamburg, and Berlin. So far Krant has 70 Bitcoin ATMs in Germany, and a total of 240 in Europe.

To use the Bitcoin ATMs, users must first register online and download a wallet app on their smartphone. This will generate a QR code that is scanned at the ATM. Once cash is deposited, its value will appear in Bitcoin in the wallet.

Coin Cloud files for bankruptcy

The official supplier of the ATMs is Sutor Bank, which ensures compliance with legal regulations. Just a few days ago, the world’s second-largest operator of crypto ATMs, Coin Cloud, filed for bankruptcy.
