Meta's Metaverse will fail

Ethereum mastermind Vitalik believes Meta's Metaverse will fail. However, he still believes in a digital world. "The Metaverse will come, but I think the current attempts won't achieve anything," said Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin on View post on X.

The 28-year-old is hinting at, among other things, Meta's recent efforts. Mark Zuckerberg's tech company is working hard to create a digital world. Buterin believes, however, that the company’s approach will be a "failure." Among other things, the definition of the term "metaverse" isn’t clear enough. It’s therefore "too early" to know what consumers actually want and 'want' in a digital world.

Meanwhile, Meta is slowing the development of its prestige project "Horizon Worlds." The company recently posted its first revenue loss since going public.
