N26 rival Revolut adds Elrond (EGLD) to its lineup

Revolut customers can now invest in Elrond (EGLD) alongside Bitcoin, Ether, and other cryptocurrencies. This makes Elrond accessible to millions of people.

The N26–rival Revolut adds the altcoin Elrond (EGLD). The smart contract platform is currently the 47th-largest cryptocurrency by market cap on Coingecko. That makes the crypto accessible to a broad audience. Revolut has more than 20 million users in over 30 countries. Elrond runs a proof-of-stake consensus algorithm with 3,200 validators on the network.

A strong partner

With Revolut, the network has a strong partner by its side. The neobank doesn't yet have a German banking license. But because the company has a Digital Money Institution license from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority, it can also operate in Germany. In addition to EGLD, Revolut offers a wide range of other cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC).
