Ripple whale executes 500 million XRP transaction

According to Whale Alert research, an unknown user yesterday transferred about 500 million XRP coins from the Kraken crypto exchange to a wallet. The anonymous Ripple whale had already held 300 million XRP in its wallet last year.

Whale Alert's "blockchain tracker and analytics system" reports large and notable transactions happening on the networks. The transfer of crypto assets totals more than $160 million. The transaction fees were only 0.000012 XRP, or $0.0000039. The wallet now holds 800 million XRP tokens.

On social media, rumors are circulating that the whale is Twitter user @BlackRockWhale2, who just two days before the million-dollar transaction hinted at a possible whale alert. How true these claims are remains to be seen.
