Shiba Inu: Shibarium is coming soon

According to developers of the popular meme coin Shiba Inu, a full launch on Ethereum's Layer 2 blockchain isn't far off. Through a blog post the Shibarium project was unveiled.

The beta mainnet launch is therefore imminent. The full rollout will follow not long after, the developers say. Shibarium is designed as a Layer 2 chain on the Ethereum network and expands the memecoin ecosystem. The Shiba Swap platform is also integrated into the Layer 2 implementation. With BONE, the blockchain also gets its own token via the "Shiba DAO". BONE will be used to validate transactions. These, in turn, trigger a token burn mechanism for the Shiba Inu token.

The developers have not yet named an exact date for the launch. They view Shibarium not only as a "price pump," but put a lot of passion into Shibarium, so haste is not urged for this project.

In the meantime, Shiba Inu faces competition from memecoin BONK, built on the Solana blockchain. This coin drew in new users after a strong price rally and quickly posted similar gains to Shiba Inu and Dogecoin. With Shibarium, Shiba Inu hopes to stay competitive.
