Is Amazon Jumping into the NFT Business?

Rumors are circulating on the web that the online giant Amazon is working on an NFT initiative. It is said that Amazon is also working on blockchain-based games.

According to the American news outlet Blockworks, Amazon aims to set up a digital assets company. With this, they want to launch the NFT initiative in the spring. The report cites four anonymous sources. According to the sources, Amazon has requested “digital collectibles” from a wide range of players in the crypto industry.

These companies reportedly include Layer 1 blockchains, blockchain-based game startups, blockchain developers, and crypto exchanges. The emphasis would be on blockchain-based games and related NFT applications. According to the anonymous information, all of this is supposed to happen in April.
