In March, Do Kwon was arrested at Podgorica airport. Local authorities are now reportedly filing charges for forgery.

Do Kwon allegedly forged travel documents. This was reported by the newspaper Vijesti on April 21. The news portal cites the statements of a prosecutor's office official, Duško Milanović. According to Milanović, the court also proposed an extension of detention.

On March 23, Kwon was arrested at Podgorica airport in Montenegro. He has been in detention there since. He is said to have crossed over using counterfeit travel documents from Costa Rica. Both the US and South Korea are now seeking his extradition. He is charged with billions in fraud.

Following the collapse of Terra Luna in May 2022, Kwon went into hiding and has been sought by Interpol ever since.
