Tether aims to improve communication between hardware and software in mining. The development could soon be open source.

A team of developers at Tether is working on new software to send commands and signals to Bitcoin mining optimize hardware such as WhatsMiner, AvalonMiner and Antminer.

As quoted by Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino View post on X on Twitter, they want to make the mining software available on open-source platforms in the future.

The main goal of the software: improved mining capacity and more effective processes.

Ardoino highlighted his role as a central contributor to Moria, an operating system for mining companies.

The publisher of stablecoins has been active in the mining sector for some time. Tether invests for example, in the promotion of renewable energy production and the development of a Bitcoin mining operation in Uruguay.

The company also participated in the construction of mining facilities in El Salvador with about a billion US dollars.

Tether published on July 31 new quarterly figures. The company generated profits of nearly one billion US dollars in the second quarter of 2023.
