Here's how much the Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index has climbed lately

Things can move fast: In just one week the Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index has shifted from "extreme fear" to "fear". Are these the first signs of a trend reversal? At the time of writing, the Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index sits at 33 out of a possible 100 points. This puts the index on a fast climb toward price recovery.

For comparison: seven days ago the value was still 15/100. The bad news from the past weeks (the bankruptcy of 3AC, Celsius, and Voyager) now appears priced in. Notably: Tesla's BTC sell-off has also not caused large shifts.

The Fear and Greed Index is a so-called sentiment indicator. It reflects the current mood of the market. Data such as volatility, sentiment in social media, and BTC dominance are counted as variables. Right now, BTC is trading at $23,621, up 4.4 percent.
