Visa aims to push blockchain technology adoption further. To that end, the payments provider is looking for experienced crypto developers.
The payments processor Visa is looking for developers who are familiar with blockchain tech and stablecoins. Cuy Sheffield, Visa's vice president and head of crypto, said on 24 April in a post on View post on X.
"We have an ambitious crypto product roadmap," Sheffield said. What exactly those "crypto products" are remains unclear. According to Sheffield, the company aims to boost the adoption of public blockchain networks and stablecoin payments.
According to the job description, they are looking for developers who "have experience with scalable backend systems" and are "passionate about Web3 technologies".
In March, Sheffield addressed doubts about Visa's Web3 ambitions, addressing the claim that the payments giant's crypto plans were on ice. Visa is still working closely with various crypto firms. The focus is on fiat on-ramps and off-ramps and on developing products that enable stablecoin payments.
