A surge in mass crypto adoption: the asset manager Fidelity has given its 37 million customers access to cryptocurrencies.

The recently launched app "Fidelity Crypto" gives access to buying and selling Bitcoin and Ethereum. Fidelity charges a one percent fee. The app is initially only available to U.S. customers. Interested users had to be placed on a waiting list in advance.

Fidelity filed three US trademark applications in late 2022, including patent applications for offering services in the Metaverse and a marketplace for NFTs.
