Arbitrum (ARB) launched: network activity at record highs
Wild price speculation, an unprecedented daily transaction volume, and exponential growth in active addresses.

Wild price speculation, an unprecedented daily transaction volume, and exponential growth in active addresses. The reason for the increased activity on the Arbitrum network and the growing hype: the long-awaited airdrop for the Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain token. Today is the day.
Arbitrum Blockchain: activity at record highs.
The number of daily transactions on Arbitrum rose yesterday, March 22, to a new record of 1.3 million, according to data source Arbiscan. The number of unique addresses on the blockchain has also grown rapidly. Nearly 1.5 million new addresses have been created since the start of the year. In total, there are already 3.9 million on the network. While many latecomers arrived with empty hands, about 635,000 wallet holders qualified for today’s airdrop.
ARB token launches today
The airdrop is driven mainly by tokenomics, which peg the total ARB supply at ten billion. Of that, 12.75 percent — 1.275 billion tokens — will be unlocked at launch.
Based on a comparison with rival Project Optimism, various assumptions about Arbitrum's Total Value Locked (TVL) and market cap, there’s wild speculation about the price. Some analysts see the ARB price starting around $15. Others expect just 50 cents per token. Arbitrum (ARB) can then be bought on several crypto exchanges. Until then, it’s worth watching for upcoming airdrops.
