Binance says the tokens carry elevated risk and may no longer meet its listing standards. The market reacted quickly, with ACX, LSK, and STX all sliding after the announcement.

Binance Puts ACX, LSK, and STX on Monitoring Tag

Key Takeaways

  • Binance has added Across Protocol, Lisk, and Stacks to the Monitoring Tag, citing elevated risk and possible failure to meet listing standards.
  • The Monitoring Tag is a warning, not an immediate delisting, but it means tokens face closer review for factors like activity and stability.
  • ACX, LSK, and STX sold off after the announcement, with LSK and STX hitting new lows on Binance.

Binance has placed Across Protocol (ACX), Lisk (LSK), and Stacks (STX) on its Monitoring Tag. In practice, that means the world’s largest crypto exchange is warning that the three tokens carry higher risk and may no longer satisfy its listing standards.

What the Monitoring Tag Means

The Monitoring Tag does not mean an immediate delisting, but it is still a serious warning. Binance applies the label to tokens that show more volatility and risk than other assets on the platform.

When a token is reviewed, Binance looks at factors such as team commitment, development progress, trading volume, network stability, and any changes to tokenomics. The exchange also said signs of fraud or negligence can trigger extra scrutiny. These assets are checked regularly, and Binance can remove them if they stop meeting the required standards.

Prices React Right Away

The market moved quickly after the announcement. Lisk dropped on Binance to $0,074 (€0,065), its lowest price ever on the platform. At the time of publication, LSK was down 3,85% on the day.

Across Protocol fell intraday to $0,035 (€0,031), its weakest level since March. ACX later recovered some of those losses and was down 1,14% at the time of publication. Stacks slid to $0,143 (€0.13), its lowest level since late 2020, and was down 7,05%.

Why This Matters

For European crypto investors, the main issue is liquidity. Binance is often one of the biggest trading venues for smaller tokens, so a Monitoring Tag warning can shape market sentiment long before any delisting actually happens.

It also highlights how strict major exchanges can be when it comes to listings. Binance has taken the same approach before with Beefy.Finance, Measurable Data Token, FunToken, Orchid, FIO Protocol, and Wanchain, and some of those tokens were later removed. It also fits a broader pattern of Binance putting tokens under extra review, like earlier with other altcoins on the warning list.
