Bitcoin and Solana surge despite geopolitical tensions

Bitcoin nears $107,000 again, Solana up 8%

The crypto market has started the new week strong. Bitcoin (BTC) kicked off a convincing rally in the night from Sunday to Monday, but it is mostly Solana (SOL) that steals the show today with a gain of over 8 percent.

Bitcoin rebounds after Middle East tensions

After a relatively quiet period, Bitcoin started the week with a solid upward move. The price bounced from about $104,600 to nearly $106,700 (up almost 3%). This rebound follows geopolitical tensions between Israel and Iran, which culminated in a direct confrontation on Thursday evening. Back then Bitcoin fell hard, but the market now appears to be recovering.

What’s notable is that Bitcoin stayed relatively steady around $105,000 over the weekend, despite the ongoing uncertainty. This price level is now acting as a solid support line, boosting market confidence. Since the opening of the U.S. futures market this morning, the price has inched higher again.

Bitcoin is now more than 40 days above the symbolic $100,000 mark (a new record). If the uptrend continues, the next big resistance sits around $110,000. The price has faced resistance there repeatedly since the end of May. A breakout could put the all-time high of $112,000 back in sight.

Solana steals the show

While Bitcoin is staging a strong comeback, Solana is in the spotlight today. The popular altcoin has risen by over 7% in 24 hours, placing it among the best-performing coins right now. The Solana ecosystem is benefiting as well.

Ethereum (ETH) has also kicked off positively and is up 3.92%. Ripple (XRP) and Cardano (ADA) are also posting gains of 2.18% and 3.17%, respectively!
