Bitcoin whales are back to accumulating larger amounts of BTC. Data from on-chain analytics platform Santiment shows that Bitcoin addresses holding between 1,000 and 10,000 BTC continue to raise their investments.

Since January 5, the whales have significantly increased their holdings. As a result, there are 4.57 million BTC on whale addresses. That’s about 24 percent of the current total supply. The price of Bitcoin has recovered somewhat in recent days and, at the time of writing, stands at $17,406.
