For the first time in history, companies collectively hold more than 1 million BTC. That’s worth over $111 billion, more than 5% of the total supply. This milestone was recently reported on View post on X.
Michael Saylor remains the clear leader: his company now owns 636,505 BTC. Other major players include MARA Holdings (52,477 BTC), XXI (43,514 BTC) and the Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company (30,021 BTC). Also Metaplanet, Bullish, Riot Platforms, Trump Media, CleanSpark and Coinbase are among the largest holders.
Aggressive buying by companies and ETFs has fueled a clear demand shock, which analysts say was a major driver behind the recent all-time high of $124,450. Many firms finance their purchases with equity issuances and convertible bonds, giving investors indirect exposure to Bitcoin per share.
After early pushback during the bear market, when BTC even fell to $15,740, the strategy by Saylor and team appears to be paying off and is laying the groundwork for a second wave of institutional adoption.
