Crypto market opens with losses

At the start of the week the crypto market is showing some ground loss. The total market capitalization falls 1.4 percent but stays just above the three trillion dollar mark.

The top ten cryptocurrencies remain largely off the radar. Bitcoin manages to stay around $94,000 with a small gain of 0.2 percent. Ethereum also takes a tiny tick lower, down 0.2 percent. With a price around $1,800, the second-largest crypto is still almost ten percent higher than a week ago.

Within the top-10, XRP stands out with a 5 percent rise, followed by Cardano adding 2 percent. Tron is the laggard, down 2.5 percent.

In the lower reaches of the top-100, price moves are more noticeable. Pudgy Penguins jumps 43 percent in 24 hours. Privacy coin Monero also shows a solid gain, up 33 percent. Fartcoin climbs 15 percent as well.

The biggest losses are posted by Artificial Superintelligence Alliance and Worldcoin, each down seven percent, and Stacks, down six percent.

According to the Crypto Fear and Greed Index, investor sentiment today has fallen to "neutral." Yesterday it was still "greed," but the index has dropped seven points.
