DeFi developer Andre Cronje hints at comeback with Fantom

Fans of the Fantom blockchain are currently talking about a comeback by founder Andre Cronje. The price of the FTM token reacted positively to it.

The founder and former lead developer of the Fantom Blockchain (FTM) hinted at his comeback in the project in a tweet. The DeFi developer posted a meme and said: "Here we go again". The addition of the suffix ".ftm" to his Twitter profile name also hints at his return to the project. Right after the hints on Twitter, the developer also updated his LinkedIn profile description. According to his bio, he is now the "Vice President of Memes" at the Fantom Foundation.

In reactie op de laatste geruchten steeg de FTM-coin vorige week met meer dan 24 procent. In maart trad Cronje, samen met Fantom's medeoprichter Anton Nell, terug uit hun functie bij het project en kondigde aan dat zij een stap terugzette uit de DeFi space. Als gevolg daarvan worstelden de FTM en Yearn Finance tokens met prijsverliezen. Naast zijn betrokkenheid bij Fantom, kreeg Cronje bekendheid in de DeFi sector door bijna volledig zelf het Yearn Finance protocol te creëren.
