Alexey Pertsev, one of the developers of the Tornado Cash crypto mixer, may wait out his trial at home. He is charged with facilitating money laundering. His wife confirmed this to The Block.

"I’m happy to confirm that Alex will be at home on his birthday, April 26," said Pertsev’s wife, Ksenia Malik. The court, however, attached a condition: he must wear an electronic ankle monitor.

Pertsev was arrested on August 10 in Amsterdam. Earlier, the U.S. Treasury Department had banned the Tornado Cash crypto mixer. The Ethereum mixer is accused of helping facilitate money laundering with its software. Crypto mixers make it possible to obscure transaction traces."
