Ethereum ICO Investor Turns $104 Into $1 Million

An early Ethereum investor who put only $104 into the ICO in 2014 has moved his wallet again after more than ten years of silence. A total of 334 ETH were moved, worth about $1.5 million today. That works out to an astronomical return of roughly 14,269x the original stake.

The View post on X played out cautiously: first a small test, then the full amount was moved to a new wallet. The timing is notable, as Ethereum itself has risen more than 50 percent in recent weeks and hit a fresh all-time high around $4,800.

Analysts are optimistic. Standard Chartered recently raised its ETH price target from $4,000 to $7,500 by year-end, and the bank even sees $25,000 per coin in 2028 as feasible. Institutional demand is also picking up sharply: BlackRock's ETHA ETF alone pulled in $338.1 million in ten days, while Ethereum ETFs last week posted a record trading volume of $18.2 billion, nearly matching that of Bitcoin ETFs.

Since its 2015 launch by Vitalik Buterin and co-founders, Ethereum has grown into the worlds second-largest crypto and the leading smart contract platform. It underpins a large portion of the DeFi, NFT, and tokenization ecosystems that drive todays crypto market.
