SBF has been in jail for months. The first photos of the FTX founder have now surfaced. Fellow inmates are also reporting on his condition.

Life in prison doesn't seem to be going so well for Sam Bankman-Fried. The FTX-founder appears unkempt and emaciated in a first prison photo recently posted by crypto journalist Tiffany Fong on View post on X (formerly Twitter) has been published.

The photo shows a total of six people, four of them unrecognizable, from the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York. It is unclear who took the photo and where Fong gained access.

Next to SBF is fellow inmate "G Lock," whom Fong interviewed afterwards.

The former Blood member (a gang organization in the US) reports in detail on Sam's condition. He confirms that SBF was increasingly "neglected" in prison.

"When he came to us, he had a belly and was well cared for. Now he is completely emaciated. He looks like a toothpick and he doesn't shower."

However, the former crypto mogul has adapted well to the prison community, G Lock continues. Sam also has more street credibility than many US gangsta rappers, he adds.

SBF in November last year became convicted to fraud, money laundering and conspiracy. However, the verdict is still pending. The verdict is expected by the end of March.
