FTX bankruptcy trustees release creditors' document

The FTX trustee has published a document for creditors. In addition to Netflix, Apple, and Google, Coinbase, Binance, and Chainalysis are also affected by the exchange's bankruptcy.

The restructuring advisers of the insolvent crypto exchange FTX published yesterday, a list of creditors published. The 115-page document shows how large the impact of the FTX bankruptcy is. Many companies in the crypto industry are listed in the now-published list. In addition to Coinbase, Binance Capital Management, Chainalysis, Yuga Labs, and Silvergate Bank were affected by FTX's collapse. But companies outside the crypto industry were involved as well. The social media platform Reddit, for example, which last year launched Polygon-based NFTs, is also listed as a creditor. Alongside tech giants like Apple, Microsoft, Google, Meta, or Twitter, several media companies such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, or CoinDesk are also on the list. Also the finance ministries of many U.S. states are listed in the document. The Bahamas Ministry of Finance is also among the creditors.

Amount invested by creditors unknown

It is not known how much the respective creditors had invested, because the list contains neither specific dollar amounts nor information about individual customers. Also the names of several million customers have been removed from the document. As part of the ongoing proceedings, the FTX trustees have so far secured about five billion US dollars.
