GTA founder invests in crypto studio
Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption.

Rockstar Games has released Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption. Now founder Dan Houser is venturing into blockchain gaming.
Dan Houser, co‑founder and former creative head at the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption maker Rockstar Games, is investing in blockchain gaming studio Revolving Games, according to a report from GameRant. With his new stake in the company, he also joins the company's board of advisors.
Revolving Games has raised roughly $25 million in funding so far. The company has more than 100 employees and two production studios in the US. The studio's first titles are a strategy game set in the Battlestar Galactica universe and an adventurous role-playing game.
The entry of crypto companies into the gaming industry is a polarizing topic in the gaming community. More and more companies such as Ubisoft or Square Enix are integrating blockchain elements into their products, while facing increasingly fierce criticism from gamers.
