Market Update: Ethereum Takes the Lead

The crypto market is riding a solid rally. Most altcoins are posting modest daily gains, but Ethereum is stealing the show. The second-largest cryptocurrency has risen almost 3% over the last 24 hours and is trading around $2,800, with a market cap of $334 billion.

Not only ETH itself is benefiting: the broader Ethereum ecosystem is also showing strong signals. For example, UNI, the token of Uniswap, the largest decentralized exchange (DEX) on Ethereum, is up a whopping 15%.

What’s driving this move? Institutional investors. Since May 16, 2025, Ethereum spot ETFs have shown a steady inflow of capital. On June 10, net inflows were a whopping $124 million, the highest amount since February 4, 2025.

According to a report from CryptoQuant in May, Ethereum is “currently extremely undervalued relative to Bitcoin – for the first time since 2019.” In the past, such a setup often led to a strong outperformance of ETH versus BTC.

The total crypto market is up today by 1.15% and reaching a total market cap of $3.45 trillion. Bitcoin dominance sits at 61%, while the market sentiment gauge, the Fear & Greed Index, is at 65 — just in the greed territory.
