Market Update: Bitcoin Rises, Is the Crypto Market Recovering?
The past few days the crypto market has again shown its volatile side.

The past few days the crypto market has shown its volatile side again. Trump’s tariffs caused heavy losses, both in the stock market and in the crypto world. But by now the U.S. president seems to be dialing back, and that brings relief to the markets.
Trump has announced that he will pause his punitive tariffs for 90 days for all countries that have not taken countermeasures. There are exceptions: for aluminum, steel, and cars the tariffs remain in effect.
The Bitcoin community is reacting positively to this gesture from the White House. At the time of writing Bitcoin is up 6.3 percent from 24 hours ago and again trades above the key $80,000 mark at $81,893. Still, on a weekly basis it’s down 1.7 percent.
Ethereum is recovering even more strongly. ETH is up today by a full 10.1 percent to $1,610. Over the week the coin is still down 11.6 percent.
A similar picture is seen with other major cryptos. XRP is up 10.3 percent, BNB up 5 percent, and Solana up 9.6 percent.
The day’s winner? Surprisingly, the Solana meme coin Fartcoin. It’s up 34 percent in 24 hours and posts an impressive weekly gain of 88.7 percent. With a market cap of $728 billion, Fartcoin sits firmly in the top 100 largest cryptos — at No. 77.
