MicroStrategy buys back 301 Bitcoin

After a two-month pause, MicroStrategy, the company of former CEO Michael Saylor, buys back about $6 million worth of Bitcoin.

The Michael Saylor–led company MicroStrategy announced today the purchase of Bitcoin worth about $6 million. For the first time since June and since Saylor stepped down as CEO in August, the company is buying the digital coin.

From an SEC document it appears the company bought about 301 Bitcoin in the period from August 2 to September 19, 2022. MicroStrategy paid an average of $19,851 per BTC for these purchases.

That brings MicroStrategy's Bitcoin balance to about 130,000. It remains the largest publicly traded company with the digital asset on its books. Former CEO and current chair of the board, Michael Saylor, confirmed the purchase on View post on X. The latter was recently accused of tax evasion in the U.S.
