According to a MicroStrategy press release the company, which was led by Michael Saylor previously, has bought Bitcoin again. The tech company paid an average of $23,238 per coin for the 6,455 BTC. The total price of the latest acquisition is $150 million.

MicroStrategy also announced that it previously repaid a $205 million loan with a 22 percent discount at the now-bankrupt Silvergate Bank. The tech company had pledged 34,619 BTC as collateral for the loan, which is now back in the company's hands.

Saylor's company last bought Bitcoin in December, taking advantage of a tax incentive. Michael Saylor stepped down as CEO in August last year. He is still seen as one of the largest advocates of Bitcoin and is representative of institutional crypto adoption at scale.
