The crypto market is taking a light hit today, Tuesday. The total market cap has fallen 2.7% over the last 24 hours. Yet investors remain noticeably calm or even strategic.
The biggest losers of the day are Bonk, SUI, and Pi Network, each down more than 5%. SUI is down 12% on the week.
At the top, the declines are modest. Bitcoin falls 0.8% and hovers around the $109,000 mark. Ethereum fares even better, down 0.5%, though the seven-day picture is slightly in the red.
Among the top ten, XRP stands out with a 2.4% drop in 24 hours. Solana is down just under 3%, while Dogecoin and Cardano lose about 2%. Tron is the only top coin gaining, up 0.9%.
Notably: despite the pullback, the Crypto Fear and Greed Index rises by one point to 74, keeping it firmly in the "Greed" zone. According to on-chain data from CryptoQuant, investors aren’t panicking, but are actively accumulating. "Rather than being deterred by short-term volatility," say the analysts, "many investors view these liquidity dips as a prime opportunity to strengthen their positions and prepare for the next upcycle."
Later today, the market could move when May's US consumer confidence numbers are released. Analysts expect a slight uptick. If confidence does recover, a positive reaction in risky assets like crypto isn’t out of the question.
