SEC delays crypto-ETF decisions again
The U.S. SEC delays again on important decisions around crypto ETFs.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is pushing back important decisions again on crypto ETFs. Both BlackRock and Franklin Templeton will have to wait longer for clarity on their applications for products based on Ethereum, Solana, and XRP.
For Franklin Templeton, the deadline is set for November 13 for a change related to Ethereum staking and November 14 for the Solana- and XRP-ETFs. For BlackRock, the application for the iShares Ethereum Trust won’t be reviewed until October 30.
The SEC provides no guidance in the documents and buys more time. The delay fits a broader trend: regulators are currently handling more than 90 crypto ETF applications and other product types.
Meanwhile, speculation about new market launches is growing. According to Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas, there could even be a Dogecoin ETF on the way: a move he says would mark "a unique moment in financial history".
