Tether expands to Near Protocol

Tether has integrated its stablecoin USDT into the Near protocol. The company announced this in a press release. This means USDT is now present on a total of 14 blockchain protocols. Near hopes the integration makes its own blockchain more attractive. According to the company, about 700 projects are currently part of the network.

In addition to the partnership, Near also announced on Monday the launch of a $100 million fund. This is meant to support research and development for Web 3.0. The news cycle shows no impact on its own cryptocurrency NEAR. The price has fallen by almost 10% in the last 24 hours.
