Ahead of the possible rate cuts from the U.S. Federal Reserve next week, crypto prices are climbing higher. The total market cap rose 1.6% to $4.1 trillion.
Bitcoin is notably lagging: the top coin gained only 1.2% and is hovering around $115,000. Ethereum performed better, rising 3% to $4,500, but it remains about nine percent away from a new all-time high.
The biggest surprise came from BNB, which hit $909 for a new record and is closing in on the $1,000 psychological level.
Among the top ten cryptocurrencies, Solana was the standout: in the last 24 hours the price jumped 8%. Analysts see this as the start of a new altcoin season.
