In the wake of the bankruptcy, Alameda Research is suing Voyager Digital. The equally bankrupt crypto lending service must pay $445.8 million.

The bankrupt crypto trading firm Alameda Research is asking the equally bankrupt crypto lender Voyager Digital for repayment of $445.8 million. This is the result of a motion filed in the federal court of Delaware.

The basis for the legal dispute is a loan that Alameda repaid to Voyager Digital in September. The trustee now doubts the repayment. The claims could go higher if more payments from Alameda to Voyager are found.

Voyager has helped and assisted in Alameda's "alleged wrongdoing," say the lawyers. Whether Alameda can prevail on the suit remains to be seen. Binance could also be affected. The largest crypto exchange wants to acquire Voyager's assets.

The former CEO of the crypto trader, Caroline Ellison, pleaded guilty in a separate case to hiding financial statements. The founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, is set to stand trial in October.
