The Lord of the Rings Now as NFTs

The Lord of the Rings trilogy is headed to the blockchain: Warner is now distributing the films as NFTs—and enticing people with exclusive bonus material.

The first installment of the fantasy trilogy, "The Fellowship of the Ring", is the first to be released. In addition to 4K resolution, the NFTs include several hours of bonus material and augmented reality collectibles.

The NFTs are available in two versions: a standard version for $30 and an "Epic Edition" for $100. The Epic Edition has a different menu (with bonus material)

"The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Web3 Movie Experience is the first in an anticipated series of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Web3 films. It is the first major studio film to be released as a multimedia NFT" said Warner Bros in a press release. The NFTs are available via credit cards and of course for sale with cryptocurrencies. The sale begins this coming Friday, October 21.
