The SEC delays the decision on Ark Invest and 21Shares US Bitcoin ETF. The new date: January 27, 2023. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) yesterday pushed back its decision on Ark Invest and 21Shares' bitcoin spot ETF to November 15, 2022. That reports Reuters.
On January 27, 2023, it will be decided whether the planned exchange-traded product can go live. The reason for the delay remains unclear. In the meantime, the so-called "ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF" is not the only Bitcoin spot ETF.
Grayscale is also fighting for recognition of its product. So far, however, the SEC has rejected the application. In the meantime there are lawsuits..
